RITUAL ACCESSORIES OF THE YAYOI PEOPLE

Immigrants introduced rice farming into Japan during the Yayoi period. Along with new agricultural practices came new religious rituals and the accessories for performing them. Here are some ritual objects of the Yayoi agricultural community appear to have been the bronze mirror (top left),  bronze bell (top right), the stone mace (bottom left) and the bronze weapon - sword and halberd (bottom right).
