BLUE PLATE SPECIAL!
 
My day off...time to hit the shops!
 
ONLY THE BEST TREASURES...

HI there!

Yesterday I went  THRIFTSTORE (Second Hand Store) SHOPPING!

 I love to do this on my day off...and here is what I found!

 

#1.  A  gorgous large blue handpainted plate from Venezuela...)Perfect - no chips - no cracks)  after I got it home I found a tiny giftshop sticker  with the price of $30.00..but I paid $1.50 at the thrift store~

 

 

#2.  A Gothic lead glass candle holder $1.50  to use with tea lights...perfect in the window~

 

#3.   A wonderful white rat puppet!!! $1.00!  It has little felt ears and you can put your fingers in the nose and mouth and he looks like he's talking!  I adore puppets - someday I'll be a Grandma ya know ...I introduced the rat to Lucy and at first I thought it was sweet but...then things got ugly... the rat is safely up on a shelf in a pink pot now~~~~ :^)

Thanks for thrift shopping with me everyone!  It was fun!

Goes great with my BLUES collection...yes, they all came from this same "Second Hand Shop" at different times this year... Can U SEE WHY I LOVE IT? :^D

Great finds Rhonda ! ! ! I do a lot of yard sales and such, but never found anything like the dishes at any of them.

Rhonda, what terrific buys - you are so clever! I, too, am a blue plate person. I laughed and laughed when I saw Lucy's reaction to the rat's eyes!! Sophie would do exactly the same (Bentley is far too mature..)

I do have the best time "searching for treasure" - I think you would have fun too- I know that we Americans have so much that it is easy to take things for granted~ You know that old saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure"...These are all items that people "donated" to this store so that the store can sell them and keep the profits for "Charity"~~~~ Hi Doreen, I have found some WONDERFUL yard sale treasures also but this shop has stuff coming and going constantly~they get new donations several times each day! Hi Jodi~this store is a genuine "second hand shop" not a dollar store....no no NO - it has REAL treasures! Hi ya Deb - no new haircut - some days I am just shaggier than others - ya know? :^D Now let's see Andre~ I think that you ADORE shopping - am I correct? ;^D You never know what you will find at this store...! Rhonda, you found some wonderful treasures! I love thrift shopping...we have several good shops in the area. I always look for blue plates. And would love a candle holder like that! And the rat...I think my Toby would have totally skipped the 'sweet' part and gone to the 'ugly'. Thanks for sharing! Made a lovely tabblo! :))

Oh my I totally missed this Rhonda! I AM SO JEALOUS .....those are incredible!! finds each and everyone! Ah, such lovely treasures! The rat is a heart-stealer. The gothic candle holder is absolutely stunning, especially at this price! The blue plate is gorgeous. Wish I could be this fruitful in my second hand shopping!
