This tabblo continues our cruise day 5 on Glacieer Bay - just too many photos to put into one tabblo. It was the sort of place that you couldn't stop clicking the camera button. I had 150 photos in all and pared them down to 40, 20 on each part of the tabblo. Hope you don't get bored looking at these.... |

You can only get some idea of the size of this glacier when you realize I was taking this photo on the 8th deck of a cruise ship, and it still towers above us. Our ship turned 180 degrees near the glacier to allow people on both sides of the ship an excellent view. In doing so, it stirred up some silt from the bottom of the fjord and the sea birds gathered around for what appears to be a tasty lunch. |

The squadron are out in full force doing their flying demonstrations for us watching from the stern |

|
Here on one side of the Margerie Glacier is a huge dry river bed of silt washed down near the glacier. |

|
I took this one because I liked the red colour of the rock and the reflection in the calm water |

We are on our way out of the bay now, and after a sumptious dinner and a relaxing evening, and good night's sleep we will sail on to College Fjord tomorrow |

cheers bon voyage! |

So...on we sail to our next destination..... (this photo is a scanned postcard as I never got chance to take a full ship photo) |
