This is an absolutely wonderful tabblo. I love the layout, the mixture of close-up flowers and the brilliant landscapes. The panoramic shots are great. The light is perfect..... what more can I say. I, too, think this should be TOD.

Wow.... I'm in awe of this landscape and your photography. I envy you this experience; even just viewing this tabblo fills me with such wonder and peace that I can only imagine what you must have experienced. ... And hey, the drinking water sign is in english! Did you fish? Was the rack thing set up to dry clothing? And how much do you think it would cost to fly 2 people, their dog and all their camping gear to Sweden from BC Canada? ;)
Akeke said at 2:17 p.m. on Aug 2, 2008:
Hi Dar!
Thnx for nice words!. The sign was in english because a lot of foreign tourist visit the National Parks up north in Sweden. Especially Germans but english is a "universal" language.

The water in the lakes are so fresh that you can drink it but the "moutain hut manager" wanted people to wash and bath at one place and get drinking water for cooking at one place. We are going to BC Canada next year and thinking of budget of 2500$ per person for the airplane.
Akeke said at 2:26 p.m. on Aug 2, 2008:
Again Dar! It's our 3:rd trip to National Parks up north (my 9th trip) and every year we try to get something extra. Sarek is the only park in the wilderness in Europe that hasnt any marked trails, houses or even inhabitants. The houses you see on my pictures is from the border area of the park. Sarek is completely wild and you have to have some experience of hiking / living in the wilderness if you try Sarek. If you break a leg or get sick from bad food it's a long way the get back to populated area's (1 day at least). The Sami people use this area for thier reindeers and I read in the wikipedia: "The total area is about 9400 km², making it the world's largest unmodified nature area which is cultured by natives"

The remoteness of this location is more of a draw for me than a deterrent, but unfortunately my reality doesn't make such a trip possible, so this tabblo gives me something that I'd never be able to experience in person, and for that I have to thank your for, big time. :)

These are just stunning photos. Each one is just a delight to look at. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
Hollyridger said at 3:20 p.m. on Aug 2, 2008:
Ake, I see that you plan to visit BC, Canada next year. I do hope you will include a trip to Victoria on Vancouver Island in which case I am sure Dar would join me is saying we would be thrilled to meet you and Simone.

A second visit to this tabblo is even better than the first, by the way. Stunning, as linda has just said.....
AliDar said at 3:31 p.m. on Aug 2, 2008:
Yes, of course I would, ... but I have a feeling their planning a trip to the interior, some remote mountain lake that you can only fly in to.
Akeke said at 4:56 p.m. on Aug 2, 2008:
The rough plan is to fly to Vancouver and then travel up north the beautiful BC and visit as many parks we can in 3-4 weeks. Last year we visited Glacier National Park and it was a really nice trip. (see my pages at http://www.tabblo.com/studio/group/akekes-usa)

Beautiful work! Terrific photos and tabblo. While you are in the Vancouver area, you might enjoy Olympic National Park, just across the water in Western Washington state. Three different ecosystems, ocean, rainforest and high country. We just got back from there - very interesting. See this tabblo: http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/1573162/
and this one too: http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/1578246/
Keep posting!
