Route 121 north  through Southeast Georgia.  Folkston, Hoboken, Blackshear, Surrency, Reidsville, Collins, Cobbtown, Metter.   Swamps, Peach Orchards, Egg Farms, Pecan Groves, Onion Fields, Old Homesteads.

Very interesting... a lovely tabblo... I've never seen cotton blooms... cool... Thanks for sharing this peek into Georgia... love the old homesteads.

Kay--this is great. I haven't been through this area in years, but it looks a lot like the west side of the swamp. You really captured the essence of south Ga--all the small towns have those water towers and lots of churches. Great set of images.

Oh, and can't forget the Peaches and cotton and the best onions-Vidalia- and the best pecans. I was in GA last month and of course we bought peaches and pecans and peach perserves to bring back to Tampa.

Thanks for letting us in on your trip down the Woodpecker Trail. What a beautiful area. I love the old train station... there aren't too many of them left.

I used to travel up and down the Woodpecker Trail from 1969-1973 while stationed at Cecil Field in Florida and my hometown was Newberry, S. C. which The Woodpecker Trail went right through. The old Woody Woodpecker signs were up at that time and I would give anything to find one today. If you know someone who has one, please let me know.

Hi Navy, If I come across a loose one, I'll save it for you ;) So far all I've seen have been on the "trail".
