This is the last Tabblo on the Alaska Cruise series. |
Well, this is the last set of photos that I have of the cruise. Our next port of call was another visit to Ketchikan where is absolutely poured with rain. I didn't even get my camera out of the case. The following day was a day at sea, and although the scenery was beautiful I had taken many photos on the northbound journey. |

The Alaskan state flag above was a marker for the helicopter landings at the guide camp on top of the Mendenhal Glacier. This was where I spent most of my time on the glacier, as I am unable to walk far as a result of a former foot injury and spent my time at this flagpole taking photos of the helicopters and the people walking on the glacier.

A small but pretty waterfall |

The ice beneath my feet |

Exploring the surface of the top of the glacier |

Base tent for the use of the guides |

My view of the mountain tops from the air |

The choppers are returning to pick us up for our return journey |

Here's ours we will be on board in a few minutes |
Now we are airborne and can see over the edge of the glacier |

What a view of the valley! |
......and a close up over the rim of the glacier into the river below |
We are getting close to the airport now, we can see some of the buildings |
We will soon be landing down there! |
......and then it will be back to our bus to take us back to our cruise ship for lunch and some shopping in Juneau |
