Thank you all~ I was half asleep when I put this one together...I just wanted to show you their splendor because now they have faded a little ...this morning they were more silver because of the heat. They do get more interesting with time though...little bits of different colors come to play as the original color subsides...KIND OF LIKE US :^)

Beautiful hydrangeas! I love that old song, too! :-) Now I have an 'ear worm' and will be hearing it for several days...some songs are like that. :-))
Welshchick said at 12:30 a.m. on Aug 12, 2008:
Oh thank you Jane~ there's something about that blue- the purple one is nice too ...but the blue is so endearing~
Welshchick said at 12:46 a.m. on Aug 12, 2008:
Same here Connie :^) One song on the radio and that's it for me- I've been hearing this one too! As young girls, my cousin and I used to sing a duet out on her veranda...REALLY LOUD...in our opera voices :^D. (I always wonder what the neighbors thought!)
Hollyridger said at 10:30 a.m. on Aug 13, 2008:
Lovely shots, Rhonda - such beautiful colours. BTW, what is an 'ear worm'?
Welshchick said at 3:36 p.m. on Aug 13, 2008:
GOOD QUESTION DOREEN~ An ear worm is when a bit of a song or tune becomes stuck in your mind...even though you might want it to go away!!! I attended a facinating lecture by Oliver Sacks (The neurologist from "Awakenings") when he was here in Portland. He says some people hear music continually in their heads -interfering with life - this is EARWORM in the extreme. BTW it comes from the German word Ohrwurm~ and be forewarned "Way Beyond the Blue" is one of those songs that will do it... :^) THank you my friend!
Welshchick said at 3:38 p.m. on Aug 13, 2008:
I meant NOREEN! Sorry my dear!
Mirella said at 3:05 a.m. on Aug 15, 2008:
Beautiful colours and magic perspective ! Bellissimo !
Welshchick said at 4:21 p.m. on Aug 15, 2008:
Thank you Mirella! Well...it is over 100 degrees today and now my Hydrangea are no longer vibrant but I will keep them watered well and they will still be beautiful but...nothing like they once were~ THIS IS LIFE~ and we remember their beauty and plan for next year!
Umauma said at 12:51 a.m. on Aug 26, 2008:
I'm singing the song along with you..You share your garden like you share everything else. That's just the kind-of girl you are!!!
Welshchick said at 4:46 a.m. on Aug 30, 2008:
