I could live in a modern art museum! I've been in Beijing, they (as the figurines) really DO smile like that! ;) are those plastic dinosaurs advancing towards Mao?? there must be more pix Allan?? I'm googling it.

what i enjoy about your tabblos is trying to figure out how you got the shot!! Your point of view is always so intriguing, Allan. Nice blurred action gives the right touch of color in#5, the set up in #6 to #7, and #3 looks like a piece of modern art, the way you framed it. The last shot is a fitting tribute to Escher. Love the pastel palette. Half Life of a Dream. hmmmm

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes, Annelies, those are plastic dinosaurs advancing on sleepy Mao. I would have liked to take more photos at the exhibit, but I was asked to stop. If you go to www.sfmoma.org/press/pressroom.asp?id=332&do=exhibitions and click on "press images" you can see more of the work. Enter "Half-Life of a Dream" in google and you'll find more references. Linda, I think the figures are made from fiber glass or plastic. Museum: can't touch!

I love SFMOMA. As much as we talked on the trail this week, including some discussion about recent exhibits at SFMOMA, I don't believe you mentioned you were there in August. Great photos -
