A true wasteland. Looks like those tracks haven't been used in a long time. Excellent composition on that first one.

You have a very nice eye for composition. I've been trying to shoot a good railroad track shot like yours for years. Cheers!

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire (...)
(T.S.Elliot, "The Waste Land")

The first photo shows a gate to nowhere. The last one shows tracks that lead us to the same destination. A true wasteland, as you say. With no lilacs, yet full of memory and desire.

Nice shots. The tracks are very telling. Such a shame.

The title is a bit odd for me because I see growth and life amidst the decay.

"Shall I at least set my lands in order?". Everything seems to be falling down, falling down.

I could have called this series "Devastated land", "Forsaken", "On the wrong track", but "Wasteland" sounded more poetical, and instantly evoked Eliot's verses.

Good choice.

This is what I want! A human with a good eye and feeling. Welcome to the group btw! And who is Aprile? That must be a mysterious person...
