These pictures have not been altered These are the actual trees as photographed.  These trees were found in a park by a lakefront recreation area.

Funny... I've seen some similar ones... not as cute... you can buy such stuff here... but it's not colorful, looks more like part of the tree... yet makes a face...

Haha! Reminds me of the ENTS in the Lord of the Rings novel/movie trilogy. :)
