You might have been amused to see me taking these photos - I was on an early morning dog-walk so the biggest challenge as soon as I spotted the herons was to persuade the dogs to be still and very quiet. They were very good but imagine my surprise when I decided I had taken enough photos to find that I was surrounded by water. The tide had crept in unbeknown to me. We all got wetter than I had planned!
