Thank you Robert, Deb, Noreen and Cymon. ... I'm actually going fishing. :) This is a photo I took at Schoen Lake as the sun was coming up and burning off the mist. Getting up to go fishing is the only time I ever get up early enough to see this sort of thing. I'm leaving on Wednesday to go to another lake in the Chilcotin area of BC, and I'm picturing myself paddling out in the morning mist with my camera and my fishing rod. and I can't wait. :)

yes, spooky at first, but I know these Canadian lakes, early morn', everything's quiet, no one around... far from the city ... it's a beautiful shot.

Thanks Cutthroatannabellee, Charlespop, Doc.... I think. <G>, Teo, Sandy and Pam. Sandy, it would be nice to have fishing buddy; too bad you live so far away. Pam. I don't know how I did it; I didn't have my coffee yet, so your guess is as good as mine. <G>

see what you miss by not getting up at the crack of dawn? cool shot Dar, no matter how you did it....it's well ballanced with the mirrored reflection not quite in the middle. its one of those that you can turn upside down and not know which way is up....good one....and good fishing. (pic advise, when you catch a fish, make sure you are holding it with an extended arm....it makes the fish look like a whopper. ;)

Schoen Lake is schön indeed! oh for a canoe to silently paddle across the mirror surface and lose myself in the mist.

I immediately thought of Chris Rea's rendition of this moody song. It would compliment this deeply atmospheric scene. I was drawn to it as I browsed your gallery and thank you for evoking such softness. Mike.
Hollyridger said at 11:26 a.m. on Nov 14, 2008:
Wow, Mike, what a wonderful combination - Dar's beautiful photo and Chris Rea's amazing rendition of "Gone Fishing". Definitely worth listening to....
