Ah, yes. I have fond memories of Lajitas! I went down there several times rock hunting as a teenager. We'd sit on that front porch of the Trading Post and watch people from Mexico come up to carouse! With occasional shootings. At which time, the owner would send everyone home and shut down the generator. Yeah, THAT long ago! Now they are selling desert land to suckers but do have electricity! And I never saw a javelina in all my time in this area. I'm envious!

What a great set, Bob. Your Jeep looks very clean, considering the terrain you were driving through. Did you buy clay Henry a beer?

Wow... beautiful photos... you get to see so much country that us 2 wheel drive folks never have a shot at... Dan goes wild pig hunting south of San Antonio every year... he should go a little further southwest where they are free... haha... love the 1st goat pic... very good set, Bob!!

What beautiful pictures. I hope to see it all with my own eyes in 3 weeks from now. I'm glad I found your site to get an idea of the Big Bend Park. I really didn't know if it would be worth the extra miles driving, but now I'm sure it will be worth it.
