i love the play of textures and lines here, pam. the strength of wood against the softness of the waves, the warmth of the sand and the cool of the sea. =)

Happy TGIF, all. James, i could have sat there all day long. just listening to the waves, sitting in the sand, taking photos. very in the moment!

Michelle, hey! hometown girl. I thought of you because of that nice comment you left me on mty Balboa beach Tabblo. I hope this brings you back there for a moment.

Thanks Jude! I almost made it 10 times longer! it was fun. but i thought i should stop with these origianl shots. Yes, Bobbie. Thank you Deb! you notice the details so nicely. Linda, how could these shots NOT be vibrant!? but thank you for giving me the credit. the shadows were fun.

Ezra, ;) and Marius, your comment should be text in the tabblo. thank you!

The wave was not too tall. Good, because I'll enjoy more of your photography:)

Like the study in contrasts on the interplay of forms and light. And it must have been fun to shoot.
Pkeener said at 8:40 a.m. on Sep 5, 2008:

Be the wave? Dunno. I would rather be a sand castle. Or a seagull. A shell. An endless pier. The restless blue.
Pkeener said at 8:22 p.m. on Sep 5, 2008:
that's the beauty of it. you can BE what you wanna.
Appropos said at 5:35 a.m. on Sep 6, 2008:

Pkeener said at 9:52 a.m. on Sep 6, 2008:
Farid, i learned this in Kindergarten and it's carried me through life: Look Up, Look Down, Look All Around. I was walking along the beach, and wanted to photograph the Pier, but I ended up beneath it and never made it to the stairs. Thank you Mirella. It was a wonderful place to be.
Krisu said at 7:24 a.m. on Sep 7, 2008:

The pier looks like a creature walking out of the ocean onto the beach.

Wow - now I want to roll up my jeans and head for the shore today! Too bad I don't live anywhere close to a beach!
Abking said at 12:14 a.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
OK, Pam, I got some rest. I like the way you put this together: cubist and fluid.
Pkeener said at 8:31 a.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
Allan, glad you are having giant Pier-Creature hallucinations, now. Thank you for the great comment. Cubist and Fuid. sounds like the contradiction that is Me!

Laura, i know i want to go back. Thank you Gerard! nice to see you. And Edite and PAtty.
