Tiny hover fly

Bumble bee

Funnel web spider web - I couldn't entice him to come out and pose!

Feeling a little sluggish :)

caterpillar I spotted in the wooded area beside the back garden

I couldn't resist just one more poem, and a silly one at that!

Bugs! Bugs!

Bugs! Bugs!

I love bugs, yes I truly do, great big pink ones, little green stink ones, yellow bugs and blue.

I put you in my pockets, and I wear you in my hair.

You are my close companions, I take you every where.

Bugs! Bugs!

I love bugs, any shape or size, thin ones, fat ones, long ones, flat ones, bugs with bulging eyes.

I hug you and kiss you and I bounce you on my knee.

No matter what I'm doing, my bugs are close to me.

Bugs! Bugs!

I love bugs, bugs you are my friends, square ones, round ones, half a pound ones, bugs with big rear ends.

I love to watch you scamper, and I love to watch you chew.

I've no doubt about it-- bugs, I'm bugs for you!

Reminds me of this old Burl Ives song, Pat: Once a lonely caterpillar sat & cried, to a sympathetic beetle by his side, "I've got nobody to hug, I'm such an ugly bug".
Then a spider & a dragonfly replied, "If you're serious & want to win a bride, come along with us to the glorious annual ugly bug ball."
Come on let's crawl, gotta crawl, gotta crawl, to the ugly bug ball, to the ball, to the ball, and a happy time we'll have there, one & all, at the ugly bug ball.
While the crickets clicked their tricky melodies, all the ants were dancing with the fleas, then up from under the ground, the worms came squirming around. Oh how they danced until their legs were nearly lame, every little crawling creature you could name. Every one was glad, what a time they had.......Etc :) Nice macros.

I'm pretty sure that the caterpillar is a Banded tussock moth caterpillar.
