PMC ABSTRACT REALISM ~ *PaintingPoetryTruth*

THE 'MASTERS' SPEAK:

(to me and for me...)

"Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment."~ CLAUDE MONET

"The only time I feel alive is when I'm painting. ~VINCENT VAN GOGH

"We never really know what stupidity is until we have experimented on ourselves."

~ PAUL GAUGIN

"Painting is the grandchild of nature. It is related to God."

"Practise what you know, and it will help to make clear what now you do not know." ~REMBRANDT HARMENSZOON VAN RIJN

"Every good painter paints what he is."

~JACKSON POLLOCK

SPRING THAW

Self-Absorbed shrinks and bows before Generosity.

Timid tentatively makes way for Trust.

Numbness sheds its husk, greets Life anew.

Impatience melts.

The deluge slows to a trickle upon reaching

its Tranquil mother sea.

Hope germinates yet another innocent, aspiring seed.

Virginal. Unspoiled. So happy to be alive

as it quietly grows, dreaming of Immortality...

Of an infinite Bond anchored in strong, nurturing soil.

Kissed by a fiery, passionate sun.

Resting, wrapped in soft, warm sheets of rain.

Renewing.

Living.

Eternal.

DOIN' HARD TIME

Years and years she's been doin' hard time.

Is the Appeal gonna be worth this worthless rhyme?

How'd she wind up in solitary confinement?

Looks like another case of self consignment.

House arrest became a prison within

The ivory tower that she put herself in.

What did she do? What was the charge?

All we know is she can't remain at large.

One life she was free, then bad stuff dug the rut,

 Slowly, insidiously...the bars clanged shut.

What was the crime that put her here?

'Twas trust in justice and truth that were sincere.

The bad and the ugly showed their cruel faces

Now in this void cell, existing.. memory erases.

But what of the inmates in their cellblocks up there?

They are tough lady, they'd tear you apart so we don't dare.

Wait for the appeal. You may yet win!

Your freedom, your life back and out from within.

Until then you are kept safe, you get an hour each day

For fresh air, exercise in the yard and more time to pray....

Sorry ma'am, this is for your own protection!

MAN WILL WAR FOREVERMORE

Man will war forevermore

There seems to be no end.

Why can't man decide to soar

Instead of hatred he must send?

Soar to heights of loving peace

Hold high the olive branch and share,

Seeds of hope and food at least

Water and clothes for the bare.

Man has warred for land, religion, greed

We the living mourn the needless dead,

Politics, power or simply nefarious 'need'

Keep the living tortured, starving with no bread.

God help them all and help us too!

Keep the Faith that war will end.

We pray for strength and wisdom from You

One day man will learn the lessons You send. ~pmc

"Stung by the splendor of a sudden thought."

~ ROBERT BROWNING

"As a man is, so he sees. As the eye is formed, such are its powers.".

"When I tell the truth, it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those that do."

~ WILLIAM BLAKE

DUST BUNNY D.N.A.

Dust bunnies, oh dust bunnies, how were you born?

Where do you come from and how do you form?

You hide and lurk about under a couch or a bed.

From nothing to something; how IS it you're bred?

The longer we leave you to hide in your places,

The larger you are when we find your fluffy faces!

I know of dust and I know of hairs but when you're found,

You don't look like those things; you're a series of mounds.

Each time I swiffer you out of your dwellings,

my mind's involved with amusement and musing...

Deducing how you secretly evolved! ~pmc

I ALWAYS ARGUE WITH MYSELF

When I was looking for the tides of right

The wrong waves would slide on in.

So I took to the sea on the next tide out

And left my mind in a wake of doubt.

I never used to argue with myself

'cause I'd only lose.

And when I argued with myself

I'd wind up with the blues.

One day I thought, much better if I just spoke to me

and simply thought things out

'Cause when I'd argue with myself

I'd wind up lost again! on that sea of doubt.

Now when both of me argues, it's just a gentle thing

When there's been some sins.

'Cause when both sides of me argue

Myself now ALWAYS wins. ~ pmc

POETS' CORNER:

"Art is born of humiliation."

"A poet is, before anything else, a person who is passionately in love with language."

"You owe it to us all to get on with what you're good at."

 ~ W.H. Auden

"A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read."

"Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn't."

~ MARK TWAIN

"I hold a beast, an angel and a madman in me, and my enquiry is as to their working, and my problem is their subjugation and victory, downthrow and upheaval, and my effort is their self-expression."

"Don't be too harsh to these poems until they're typed. I always think typescript lends some sort of certainty: at least, if the things are bad then, they appear to be bad with conviction."

~ DYLAN THOMAS

24/7 MAN

7 to 7, he works each day...

24/7, getting further away.

From the everyday world,

filled with little bits of joy,

From our love which it seems

he seeks to destroy.

Anger by day, comatose by night,

With no time for us - no end in sight.

We all loved him!

but he's gone from us somehow

Moneychaser, dreamwrecker....where are you now? ~ pmc

"Let your performance do the thinking."

"There is only one difference between a mad(wo)man and me. I am not mad."

~  CHARLOTTE BRONTE

"I have dreamed in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the color of my mind."

"If I could I would always work in silence and obscurity, and let my efforts be known by their results."

EMILY BRONTE

It's interesting how most just kinda 'knew' that a lot of time was put into this tab....in fact, it WAS MORE than 8 hours..Saturday's 'From This Broken Hill' was about 4.5 and this was yes, much time spent finding JUST the right 'great ones' quotes that spoke what I think, live, feel. Fighting tabblo tools took up the rest LOL HAHA and a HUGE BIG HUG for every one of you 'who got this next message in a Tab'!!! (even had one person write me to say it was 'over their head' and kind too 'out there'!?! I'm thinking why not just think that and not write it? but that's just me a little 'different' PMC...'a little out there' and somehow'realistic' as well ........:;-) xox to all ~pmc
