thanks sis, jodi. the title is from a classic french poem by Guillaume Apollinaire. translated loosely "the found -again- earring" (is that english??) yes i really found this earring in my potpourri. it must be from one of the boys' girlfriends. it's not mine (and it's still there).

Sublime poème d'Appolinaire. En classe de 9ème, à l'école de l'Agdal dans ma plus belle ville du monde, Monsieur Maillet nous apprenait plus classiquement les fables de La Fontaine, cela coule de source. La deuxième moitié de mon poème est entièrement de moi, et c'est toi qui me l'a inspirée. Bises sweet Bc, salut ma Muse. Thierry-chiloedream.

I love how the texture of the petals is picked up on the surface of the stone, and then how the colour of the ear ring matches everything so perfectly. Great mystery, but whatever it is, I think the pearl belongs in with the rose petals.
