Doing your 2 cents' worth for Barack, huh? From over here, any change would be a good one. Dublya didn't boost world confidence, to say the least.

Hey, everyone--thanks for all your great comments. Something most definitely has to change. We are spending billions on a war and yet we can't take care of our elderly, homeless, children. those without health coverage. A co-worker of mine was laid off and lost her health insurance and had to have back surgery--she now is $10,000 in debt and is only 32 years old with a Master's degree.

Yes, that might sound like rhetoric we've heard before--but anyone who has worked in social services or has an elderly loved one, knows this to be more than just rhetoric. It's reality.

As for those emails we are all receiving--let me say, be careful-very careful. No matter which canidate you are for or against, check the facts--use snopes.com or factchecker. I recieved an email that was supposedly written by a New York Times columnist. Turns out, she never wrote it. People can be very devious through the internet. and often those who read them can be very ignorant.

Don't ignore this election or many of us may be standing in soup kitchen lines. And if you speak out--don't think you are a "Whiner." And remember--It's very honorble to be a "Community Organizer." That's how change in this country came about; that's how women got the right to vote; and that's how Africian Americans got equal rights. Martin Luther King and Ghandi were two of the greatest community organizers the world has ever seen. I've even heard some people say that Jesus was a community organizer.

Don't be a sheep and believe something just because your sister's best friend's husband's cousin sent out an email. Some of my best friends are like sheep and just believe anything that comes through the internet. And don't believe every thing the politcians spout in their speeches.

GET THE FACTS FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE--not the neighbor's dog.
Pkeener said at 6:11 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
good stuff LINDA! yes! don't be a sheep and let the wool be pulled over your eyes. its time to be responsible and make the changes so our kids and grandkid can carry on a legacy of caring, support and human kindnes. or PEACE HOPE and CHARITY . from the song we all learned as kids. that's all it takes.
Leftofcenter said at 7:04 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
wasabi.

Bravemoonbearer said at 7:10 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:

Lifequest22 said at 7:16 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
Wasaaaaaaaaaabiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii---Thanks pam, annelies and Sandy.
Pkeener said at 7:29 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
Hey Sandy! yeah. Its easy to speak when you have convictions about something. Republican or Democrat, Right or Left, Male or Female, Old Young, straight or Gay. We all live on the planet. We all want to live in good health, have love and prosper.
Lifequest22 said at 11:22 p.m. on Sep 9, 2008:
Ain't that the truth, Pam.

AliDar said at 3:58 p.m. on Sep 22, 2008:
I LOVE that last shot! ... It may be rhetoric that we've all heard before, but I for one, don't ever want to hear it silenced until they get it right. Here's hoping that they'll get some things right before that little fellow grows big enough to grow up and be jaded. Great Tab Linda!
