The Big push

The Big Push is a tradition dating back to the horse-drawn fire engines that had to be pushed and pulled into the firehouses.  Today, when a new firehouse opens its bays for business, the first fire engine gets "pushed" into the new building by the station's firefighters and the local community members they protect.
