An Ozark Project II

I have been involved in taking photos for an Arkansas oral history grant project with Donna Stjerna and Kelley Mulhollan of "Still on the Hill" for the past year. It has been an honor and joy to work with these  wonderfully creative, warm and caring people. They are truly gifted writers and musicians in the tradition of the troubadors. I am grateful to have had the privilidge of traveling with them, and of meeting and photographing these amazing Arkansas treasures!

The project, funded by Arkansas Heritage, includes a CD and Booklet with stories and Lyrics called "Ozark, A Celebration in Song". In addition, there will be a video of live performances produced by Jones Television of Donna's songs about the characters they met on their travels. I am humbled by the characters we met and for the experience of photographing them.

This Tabblo is of Ed Stilley and his beautiful family. I did his Tabblo seperately because we visited him twice and I took too many photos I wanted to share.

The inside cover of the CD below will give you greater insight into the creators and their motivation and goals for this project.  It also explains what the proceeds raised from this project will fund. I love their work.  CDs, books and Video will be available at <stillonthe hill.com> You'll love it too. You can reach me at kbass9@cox.net
