From Passu, the last village in Northern Pakistan and the last stop on the Karakoram Highway which links Pakistan to China - you can take a 8-hours hike around Yunz valley, to visit two breathtaking Glaciers -

Flowing beneath Passu (7,500m) and Batura (7,795m) massifs, like a grand cloak of ice, these glaciers are a spectacular sight.

 Passu glacier is white, and Batura, coming up below,   is Black.

which straddle the two mountain massif and glaciers.

We spotted a LIZARD on the trek.

What's a Glacier?

wikipedia says : A glacier is a large, slow-moving river of ice, formed from compacted layers of snow, that slowly deforms and flows in response to gravity and high pressure.

Batura Glacier (57km long) is one of the largest and longest glaciers outside the polar regions.

 The lower portions can be described as a grey sea of rocks and gravelly moraine.
