When we have a nice weather, Aor, Tatia, Tanya, and two nannies would go pick up Titus from his school and go to Puttamontol, which is a big park 10 minutes from Titus' school.  We would drop by Save-E market to pick up sticky rice, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken (children's favorite food), and Somtum (nannies' favorite) then have a nice picnic at Puthamonthol.

 The main event comes after the meal.  Children love to feed the fish (thousands in the pond) with bread.  When the water level is high, we can place a piece of bread on the rim and the fish will come up to get it.  Sometime we would put a piece of bread on a long stick and get the fish to come up from the water to get it.  Occasionally, turtles would try to join the buffet but they are too slow to get any bread thrown into the water.  We have to hand feed them.

After the feeding frenzy, with everyone armed with magnifying glass, Titus would lead the nature exploration trip by pointing out various interesting things like small spiders, squirrels, various insects, or tadpoles.  If we are lucky, monitor lizards would strut around for us before disappearing into the water. 

We would draw pictures of notable observations.  Titus usually draws all the animals encountered that day.

We really like these trips.  Children get to spend time with nature and fresh air, instead of Bangkok's smoggy air.  They get to observe and draw interesting things in nature. 

Titus' drawing is much more detailed these days, with well defined lines and many types of animals in one drawing.  Previously, there was only one animal in each drawing. He also pays more attention to details. Fish would have all the fins.  Birds have beaks, wings, legs, and talons.  Trees would have roots, trunks, branches, and leaves.

ในบางวันที่อากาศดี พวกเราได้แ่ก่ แม่อ้อ ธัชธีญา ธัญญา พร้อมกับพี่เลี้ยงอีก 2 คน ก็จะยกขโยงไปรับธีธัชจากโรงเรียนกัน แล้วก็พากันกันไปพุทธมณฑลซึ่งอยู่ใกล้ๆ รร. ขับรถไปอีกแค่ 10 นาทีก็ถึงแล้ว โดยพวกเราจะแวะตุนเสบียงที่ตลาดเซฟอี ซื้อข้าวเหนียว หมุปิ้ง ไก่ทอด ของโปรดของเด็กๆ บวกกับส้มตำของโปรดของเหล่าพี่เลี้ยง ไปถึงพุทธมณฑลปุ๊บก็ปูเสื่อแล้วก็นั่งโซ้ยทันที ทั้งวุ่นวาย และสนุกสนานกันน่าดู

พอกินกันเรียบร้อยก็ถึงเวลาที่เด็กๆรอคอย คือ การให้อาหารปลา ที่พุทธมณฑลมีปลาเยอะมาาาก เวลาโยนขนมปังลงไปนะ ปลามันจะเบียดกันขึ้นมางับขนมปังนัวเนีย บางวันที่น้ำขึ้นมาปริ่มริมตลิ่ง เด็กๆสามารถเอาขนมปังวางเอาไว้ที่ขอบตลิ่งแล้วล่อให้ปลาขึ้นมากินได้เลย หรือบางทีก็เอาขนมปังเสียบไม้แล้วหย่อนให้ปลาขึ้นมางับ บางวันก็จะมีเต่าลอยคอขึ้นมาขออาหารด้วย เด็กๆก็จะคอยยื่นขนมปังให้เต่ากินกับมือเลย เพราะถ้าโยนลงไปเนี่ย  เต่าไม่ได้แ้อ้มซะหรอก ปลากินเรียบ

หลังจากให้อาหารปลาเสร็จก็จะเป็นเวลาสำรวจธรรมชาติ พวกเราจะถือแว่นขยายคนละอัน แล้วธีธัชก็มักจะเป็นคนนำการสำรวจ ชี้ชวนให้แม่และน้องดูแมงมุมตัวเล็กๆ กระแตที่อยู่บนต้นไม้ แมลงตัวเล็กๆ แ้่กระทั่งเห็นลูกน้ำก็ยังตื่นเต้นเลย บางวันโชคดีก็จะได้เห็นตัวเงินตัวทองเดินลงน้ำ พอเสร็จแล้วก็จะมานั่งวาดรูปกัน โดยส่วนใหญ่ธีธัชก็จะวาดรูปสัตว์ที่ได้พบเห็น

เที่ยวแบบนี้ได้ทั้งความสนุกสนาน เด็กๆได้ใกล้ชิดธรรมชาติ สูดอากาศบริสุทธิ์ที่หาได้ยากให้กรุงเทพ การสำรวจก็หัดให้เด็กช่างสังเกต เด็กได้ฝึกการสรุปรวบรวมความคิดในสิ่งที่ได้เห็นแล้วบรรยายออกมาด้วยภาพ ตอนนี้ลายเส้นในการวาดรูปของธีธัชพัฒนาขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด คือ มีลายเส้นที่ชัดเจน มีภาพของสัตว์หลายประเภทในรูปซึ่งแต่ก่อนจะเป็นการวาดภาพสัตว์อย่างเดียวในกระดาษหนึ่งแผ่น มีการใส่รายละเอียด เช่น ปลาก็จะมีครีบบนและครีบล่าง  นกจะมีจงอยปาก ปีก ขา และนิ้ว รูปต้นไม้มีราก ลำต้น กิ่งไม้และใบ
