From London, we headed to Vienna, arriving at our lovely hotel situated on the Praterstrasse, extremely near the Ferry Wheel and transport.
That was a good start - a brilliant end to our very tired day coming from London... |

|
After a good night sleep, we head to Stephansdom - a church with magnificent interior.
We also went right up to the top of the church, where we saw a fabulous view of day-time Vienna.. even though the whole experience left me feeling a little... nauseous because of the height..
The roof of the church is very interesting - tiled with the year 1956.. and you can also see the intricate carving of the church exterior. |

|
After visiting the Stephansdom, we wander towards the Hofbug (Imperial) Palace...
One of the things we love about Vienna is the streets - makes you feel so relaxing...
On the way to the Palace, we also passed by the Rathaus (City Hall) and the Paliament |

|
When we finally get to the Hofburg Palace - we couldn't believe our eyes - the size of it!!
The first stop for us at this Palace, is the Sisi museum and the Imperial Silver Collection.
What can I say.. EXTRAVAGANCE! I think the amount of plates there will probably last me 10 life time!! 2 sets are already enough for me.. hm.. |

|
At the end of the day....
Headed back to Stephanplatz, where we searched for some delicious food to cure our tired and hungry souls. And we found a shop called Demel! I was too hungry so I forgot to take a picture of the 2 cakes I ate...
:'( They were the best cake I've ever eaten in my whole life... so don't blame me for forgetting to take a picture of them.. I just couldn't wait... =p |
