Grace flew alone from Philadelphia to Boston this afternoon.  She did great!  We sat at the gate and she watched Avatar on my iPhone.  When it was time to board, she gave me a quick hug and a brilliant grin as she said, "Mummy, I am so ready for this.  I'm so excited!" and then took off down the jetway with a flight attendant.  I stood, my face pressed against the glass, tears running down my face.  When did my baby get so old, so grown up, so independent?

I am delighted to report she's on the ground in Boston and as far as I can tell she loved the whole experience.
