Man of All Seasons

This is Rodney, in front of his John Deere whom I met yesterday while out

photographing Kankakee County Barn Quits . I have to go back and get more photos. Not only a farmer, but also Cabinet Maker,

auto and tractor restorer, master mechanic, producer of wheat , corn, and soy beans. He has been on this homestead since 1943. Pictured are photos of his garage located in the barn containing two 1930 John Deere tractors, a 1927 Ford, 1970 Jeepster, and a Mercury Cougher. He was kind enough to show me his garage.

I doubt if you find a larger tractor in the county.

Patriotic Barn quilt design. 8ft by 8ft.

$2000 tires each - 60 inches diameter

Planter - he was doing winter wheat.

I'd hate to have to feed the tractor these days! Horses eat cheaper now! Except they eat all year. :(

Rodney sure has enough to keep him busy. Be nice to see that old Ford fully restored.
