Real autumn and surprising mushrooms. In Russian this mushroom "muhomor" - "death of the flies". Very dangerous and poisonous.

Thank you all for your visit and nice comments and Anja, ik heb deze vlioegenzwammen gevonden in grasland in de directe nabijheid van b.v. berk, beuk eik of dennenboom. Succes met je zoektocht. :-)

Shenresi said at 3:41 a.m. on Oct 11, 2008:
wonderful shots, Gerard of that fly agaric. I like the last shot very much, because you feel little like an ant and look high to that mushroom, big as a tree!!!

Thank you all, Pam the only "magic Mushrooms "that I've heard off are the one that are ussed as a drug; Psilocybin and psilocyn are the hallucinogenic principles contained in certain mushrooms. These “magic” mushrooms are generally grown in Mexico and Central America and have been used in native rituals for thousands of years. Psilocybin is structurally similar to serotonin, and produces its effects by disrupting normal functioning of the serotonin system. In holland you can buy them in the so called "smart shops"
The fly Amanita is a toadstool that you can find here in Holland very often and we have here a childsong about this toad with a gnome.
For more info about this toadstool, follow the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria
Have a nice weekend.:-)
