AliDar said at 4:51 p.m. on Oct 7, 2008: The left building in the first shot must be modern, the embellishments look more graphic.... or is that just a new building waiting for the facade to be stuck on? ... I actually didn't know that real places like this existed, so I admit, my initial reaction was something like Bobbie's chocolate factory one, but with a reference to a feathered cap and shorts with suspenders.
Leftofcenter said at 5:49 p.m. on Oct 7, 2008: Vielen dank everyone!
DAR: You can find old towns with these colourful "half-timbered houses" [ google: typical of the Hessian Fachwerk, mostly dating from around 1600 ] all across Germany, you know the tale of "the pied piper of Hamelin"? even better, check out PACHITO's tabblos...
AliDar said at 11:40 p.m. on Oct 7, 2008: Of course, Hessian Fachwerk, why didn't I think of that. <G>
Leftofcenter said at 6:13 a.m. on Oct 8, 2008: I googled for you DAR!!! "Hess" is a region in Germany and "Fachwerk" just means "framework", now stop the <G>s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BERRY36 said at 12:42 p.m. on Oct 8, 2008: Superbes couleurs, cela doit égayer les jours grisâtres d'automne ! C
AliDar said at 1:47 p.m. on Oct 8, 2008: You don't really mean that do you? <G>
