Colors of Fall in Nebraska

This photo won me 1st prize in the 2004 Yorkfest Photo Contest...

 

I took it just after sunrise on Oct 6, 2003 about 2 miles south of York, NE looking mostly north, a little west...

That is York faintly in view over the furthest row of fall foliage...

Taken the same morning as the 1st photo, from the same spot, looking straight north...

What looks like a major city in the distance are trees...

Taken about 5 miles north of York, NE

Can you see the moon??

Last photo is perfect. Yes I see the moon. Also I see perfect autumn. Multi-coloured. Autumn in blossom of her charm and beauty. Very beautiful tabblo

Beautiful! Yes, I see the moon too. The colors this year in Central New York seem to be especially bright. Perhaps it is only because they were so dull last year.

Simply a beautiful shot; it has a nice soft focus that gives the whole thing a nostalgia like feeling. I do like the top photo best so choosing it over the second one was a very good choice. Good eye.

Sorry late again here.....all 3 are beautiful ...don't know why but I'm partial to the 3rd. Likely the water and its stillness plus reflections of all the beautiful colors of fall (looked and looked - couldn't see the moon tho!) Congrats on winning a photo contest - pretty neat! Patty
