Un bel hommage. Impossible d'oublier le Grand John. Merci pour ce beau tabblo. Bises, NW. Salut Pammie.

Heard it on the radio today. I would not remember otherwise. Great idea, Pam.

Hey, Pam, did you get to Central Park? I saw the Beatles perform in '64, and in some ways it seems like yesterday (no pun intended). They were a big part of my youth, even though I didn't realize it at the time. It's sad that John & George are no longer with us. Makes me conscious of my own mortality, which I suppose is a little selfish. Nice tribute for what would have been John's 68th birthday. Thanks.

A beautiful and moving tribute to the great John Lennon. The words of the song "IMAGINE" contrast painfully with the violence of his death. Incongruities of the human being.

My brother John is named after him. My second name 'Paul' is from McCartney. :) My father is heavily influenced by the Beatles. Thank you for this warm tribute, Pam :)

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Really like how you put this together. The songs don't get old.

Wildthing said at 6:17 a.m. on Oct 10, 2008:
Hard to believe that Sir James Paul McCartney is 66 now. And he was worried if he'd still be loved when he was 64:)
Pkeener said at 10:39 a.m. on Oct 10, 2008:
Yeah, Mike, which means we aren't kids anymore!
Thanks, E. I always loved the fact that John Lennon's birthday was so close to mine. Not sure, why!
Allan, I just realized that I didn't have a copy of Imagine. Lost it somewhere, so I bought it last night, after reading your coment.
M, I gave that shot a light Marusian touch. Glad you noticed.

Thanks again everybody for taking a minute to view my tabblo, and remember John

Peace

I can't imagine John Lennon at 68. His energy and intensity seem so young. What a sad day. The Beatles changed everything, and they became totally integrated into our lives. My young kids are more familiar with Beatles songs than the folk songs and old kids' songs we grew up with.
