Wow, Dar, this is so unusual and so well put together... I LOVE it!! I love the background to the leaves - pavement, I believe - and the colours you have chosen to complement the colours of the leaves is perfect. This fall season is one we will not forget for a long time.

What a beautiful tribute to fall! The way you have arranged the shots is really interesting. Great Tabblo Dar!

I adore a chocolate shade of a background yours tabblo. Perfect autumn photos. Lonely sheets on ground. Superb pass mood of autumn grief and loneliness. Excellent job!
AliDar said at 12:25 a.m. on Oct 27, 2008:
Thank you Noreen, Uma, and Ira! :) Noreen, a few of the shots are of pavement, but mostly it's the concrete of the sidewalk and the last shot, the concrete ramp in our back yard, under the Garry Oak.

fallen leaves intrigue me, and you've done a great job presenting this tabblo, love all the different colors
Debdog said at 1:13 a.m. on Oct 27, 2008:
the color and texture of leaves on pavement, esp the last is eye catching. I like the oak because the light is more quiet. The shadows on the tree trunk with the gold against patches of sky is beautiful. Well done, and the colour compliment is perfect :)

Thank you Sue and Deb!

There is always a saddness about the trees losing all their beauty, but also a joy to the eye in the colour of the leaves. Well done Dar :-)

Beautifully and interestingly constructed tabblo

I can almost hear Ol' Blue Eyes.........The autumn leaves drift by the window,
the autumn leaves of red & gold.
Their is a dying beauty to them. Nice clear shots.

wonderful fall-ing concept...love the first shot, the angle, looking up and seeing spots of the sky...and then how you placed the shots following the tree...just like fall...super layout Dar.

Yes, Leftie-that red leaf is what really caught my attention. The texture reminds me of leather. The shots are so crisp and clear Dar. and they are all brimming with texture. Really nice work on this tabblo.
AliDar said at 8:26 p.m. on Oct 27, 2008:
Thanks Linda. :) ... I was thinking it looked like leather too, not sure why that is; if it's because it's such a tiny leaf and zoomed in, or because of the manual settings I was using - always adjusting the f stop to get the maximum shutter speed. Maybe I should see if I can take similar photos and get a softer look. Thank you.
Lifequest22 said at 10:19 p.m. on Oct 27, 2008:
I like the leather look.
Debdog said at 12:02 a.m. on Oct 28, 2008:

DAR! Your leaves are so eloquent! Poetry of the Fall!
AliDar said at 7:22 p.m. on Oct 31, 2008:
Thank you Den. They seem to me like poetry as well, and the shots of the little and singular leaves, like haiku's. :)
Siagian said at 12:36 a.m. on Nov 3, 2008:
poetry in images... the textures and colors are outstanding. very nice work Ali.
AliDar said at 5:16 p.m. on Nov 4, 2008:
Actually I'm responsible for this batch Woody. :) Seems we both have a fondness for the beauty of fallen leaves.
Welshchick said at 4:04 a.m. on Nov 6, 2008:
The leaves remind me of rocks on the beach..each one unique and artistic!

Closeups of the fallen few is what I would have liked to do this year, as we have such a short autumn here in Ireland. This year has been more colorful than usual and may be down to our abismal summer weather, who knows!
My favorite one is the last one of the oak leaf. It is placed at the magical thirds rule position and has a sublime steely background to contrast against. I am a great lover of the maple leaf and particularly the Japanese varieties, but in this case the Oak has it palms down for me. A nice timely collection with great definition. Thanks for paying such great attention Dar!
Mike.

Yes, DAR, this could be called a visual haiku (or a series of haikus). And this reminds me of a great poem by e.e.cummings:
