The 88- storey Petronas Twin Towers rise like sentinels in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Standing at 451.9m was the highest building in the world when it was completed in 1997 and at present it is the second highest. It was designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates the former Dean of Yale University's School of Architecture and it cost a whooping US$1.2 billion. The towers are joined at the 41st. and 42nd. floors by a 58.4m. double decker skybridge which is 175m. above the street. |
