Thanks Robert, Joe, Andre and Ira. Tel Aviv is really an easy place to take pictures, always something nice to shoot and even the winter weather here is as the summer in Finland :DDD

Beautiful Tabblo, Heli. Every kind of people, colours and a funny wall painting. Thanks.

Tel Aviv looks so peaceful, charming and friendly in your photos, I'm starting to consider the idea of visiting Israel someday.
Andre. said at 7:40 a.m. on Nov 23, 2008:
Eddie, don’t forget, it looks so peaceful, but Palestine is just around the block. It’s simply astonishing how people can build a paradise in a 24/7 war-zone. Go Israel!
Eduardo.affonso said at 8:34 a.m. on Nov 23, 2008:
Then it's very similar to Rio, ANDRE. Here, the drug dealers and the politicians are just around the block, too. And they are not fighting for a cause, like the Palestinians, they just want our wallet, watch, cam, car - or simply need some target practice.
Hhwind said at 8:58 a.m. on Nov 23, 2008:
Great shots hard to imagine it can be so peaceful being so near to volatile war zone

Hmmnn, media shows only one side of the truth and the country as usual. I m not an Israeli, not a Jew and came to the country when it was still war in 2006 and honestly, I love this place a lot! Welcome Eddie to see yourself. Andre and others, too. I m still few years here :) Sure I admit that life outside Tel Aviv is not only 'dancing' and only dream on a good compromise to all around.
Thanks for your comments.

Excellent shots !!!
Eduardo.affonso said at 10:05 a.m. on Nov 23, 2008:
I think media shows only half side of the truth, but... would it be possible to show reality, with all its nuances? I wouldn't visit Kabul or Baghdad, but millions live in those cities, go to school, to the movies, to the gym, date, play soccer, buy and write books - in spite of that, all we know about these cities is related to bombs & casualities. I confess I would be afraid of visiting Jerusalem or Cairo, but I doubt these places are more dangerous than the city where I live - and this is a great paradox.

Lovely warm pictures Heli! Everyone looks so relaxed and enjoying the winter sun.

There are many ways of doing it....nice observations, Heli: ))
Andre. said at 6:04 p.m. on Nov 23, 2008:
WOW, what a party. Sure, Palestinians fighting for whatever, but somehow Palestine looks like sh@t and Israel is beautiful, a hand-made water supplies in a desert. Don’t compare it 2 Rio, Eddie. Can someone post GAZA pics here? Bunch of thieves and layers. Hate that media crop.
Have you EVER seen a box with “Made in Palestine” sign on it? NO EFFIN WAY. Only a bomb, and no sign, can’t write...Can’t make anything, just breaking EVERYTHING.
Eduardo.affonso said at 5:05 a.m. on Nov 24, 2008:
I totally disagree, ANDRE. Palestinians fight for their right to a territory, exactly like Israeli did decades ago, exactly the way Armenians and still do. Prejudice, against Israel or Palestine, is the worst way to deal with this situation. Israelis created an oasis and deserve to live in peace in it; Palestineans still live in the desert. Both nations could cooperate, coexist, develop and become idilic places like these shown by Heli in here photos. Then you would find boxes with "Proudly made in Palestine" full of apples, computers, shoes, souvenirs.

By the way, one of the most violent areas in Rio is called Faixa de Gaza (Gaza Strip). I can't take pics there, either.

Very cool shots!
Andre. said at 8:21 a.m. on Nov 24, 2008:
Eddie LOOL Palestinians MAKE a desert ANYWHERE they live. Place them 2 Brazil and Brazil will become a desert. Trust me. "Children of the desert". Peace.
Eduardo.affonso said at 8:30 a.m. on Nov 24, 2008:
This country is already becoming a desert with the destruction of our forests - and we didn't even need the help of any Palestinian.

According to an old joke, when God was distributing disasters among the countries (earthquakes to China, floods to India, volcanoes to the Philippines, tornados to the US etc) an angel told him he had forgot about Brazil, which had got only beauties. God replied: "Wait and you will see the policitians I will place there".

Thanks, thanks for your comments again and let s stop trying to solve the problems as not in our hands. Life is never fair to all of us unfortunately.
You heard about a man and a genie who offered one free wish to the man?
The man's first wish was to understand better women and their logic ... and the genie did not like the request much so he wanted to hear the next one from the man's wish list. That wish was to get peace to the Middle EAst. ... It did not take long from the genie to change the man to a woman and then understand better the women and their logic. As justification for the action the genie told that no way to create miracles :))
