Photosfornow said at 1:17 p.m. on Mar 12, 2009: Yes Moorlerche, you are right...Icer Events which is a limited partners company this past Oct. 2008 came back to San Francisco at the same venue and tryed to but on the show without non union labor. Icer Air was going to use out of state labor and some locals and pay them less the local pervalling wage. The San Francisco Labor Councle and IATSE Local 16 which in the past years has provided the labor for this event found this process was unacceptible. Icer Air jdid not want to pay a living wage for labor her in San Francisco, or use union labor as they have in the past. Therefore, the union put up an information picket line around the event which caused Icer Air to change their mind and hire union local labor to work the job which have been our jobs in the past. San Francisco is a very STRONG UNION TOWN and Labor here, in the San Francisco does not sit still for this kind insult to Labor. And we will bring the event to a stop...till they change their mind and pay the living praviling wage here in San Francisco.
I hope this bring better undersdtanding to the tabblo story. Please forgive me for not saying more about the pixs to begain with.
