For Those Less Fortunate

65th Annual Thanksgiving Banquet served to those less fortunate by the Fred Jordan Mission in Los Angeles.   

 

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and hundreds of volunteers served meals to a record breaking 2,000 needy LA residents. 

 

Pastor Greg Laurie delivered a brief testimonial message of God's love and faithfulness through difficult times, having personally lost a son this past year.

That's right Deb. The world news can really depress your soul. Going to events like this, where you see the redeeming part of humanity really lifts your spirits. My faith life is the only way I overcame major post war PTSD.

So sad the contrast in our country between excess and need. This looks like a wonderful event and you brought out the best with your photos.

Nice coverage. Love the shot of the little boy biting into the leg of the turkey. Hopefully the giving never ends.
