The FOOD!!! O.M.G!!! Mix of Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine . Fragrant rhizomes such as galangal , ginger and fresh turmeric, together with shallots, garlic, fresh andarlic, fresh and dried chillis , with emphatic overtones from lemon grass, dried shrimp paste and tons of super fresh see-food … I miss everything about Malaysia: the beautiful and super-friendly people, the amazing mix of cultures, the warm seas, the sounds of China Town in KL, the market in KB, the gentle sun of Perhentian Islands … but it’s the food that I still dream about.
