Very different views from the city I love most on whole the earth! I really like the way you show Jerusalem this way instead of the pictures you ussualy get to see! Hope you enjoyed your trip there!

Thanks again to your comments Pamela, Mirella, Max, Pat, Robert, Jorma, Celia and Danitsja. You can only guess how many pictures I took from that distance between Jaffa and Lion's Gates (less than 1 km I guess) and how hard it was to choose something to show here! I wanted to be as objective as possible but love those kids so much. It is really worth paying few shekels and to climb up to the wall and to walk as far as you can. It was good fitness, too, so not expensive at all :))
My favorite is the picture No 5: all those black boxes on the roofs are hot water boilers and belong to Muslims and then you have all those tops of the Christian churches between them. What a paradox! Somehow it shows in nutshell the whole Middle East.

I remember one night it was already dark when I climbed on top of a hostel in the old city near jaffa gate, from there I had a view over Jerusalem to the mount of olives. It was strange what I saw, the green spots from all he mosques, the tops of churches, knowing where the KOtel is.... It was really intriging, I can not tell how it felt & what feeling overwhelmed me...

ps climbing on top there was free :))) (It's typically Dutch to rather have something for free than to pay for it! )
