On December 10, 2008, a cold Wednesday night at the Round Lake Library, a group of young archaeologists uncovered the secrets of Ancient Greece, as part of Briana's Ancient Civilization series of programs. |

Greek foods to sample were dates, pita bread and feta cheese, with a cup of sparkling grape juice. |

Craft projects are always a hit! |

Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, oversaw the program with pride. |

Ana and Arturo assisted with the program, handing out the popular munchies and the much more popular sparkling grape juice. |

This giant kid showed up, ate the food and left without doing any of the archaeological work. |

Tools of the trade can sometimes be found around the site. |

Face masks hanging from the coat rack to dry. You don't want to wear a wet mask! |

Ouch! Right in the eye! |

With programs like this, I think Aphrodite isn't the only goddess among us.
Nice work, Briana!
And nice work by the young archaeologists who had fun and learned about Ancient Greece. |
