Qiandaohu, or Thousand Island Lake, is located a couple of hours away from Hangzhou. It is a manmade lake that was created from a dam project. With the dam in place, the area flooded and created a lake with just over 1000 islands. This recreational area is popular for fishing and also sightseeing by island hopping with a small cruise ship. |
