pro-Israel demonstration, The Hague, 9th Januari 2009

This was no hatred to the Palestinian demonstration, there was no joy about the innocent that have died.  There were no incidents of aggression or violence. There were no quotes of hatred. The demonstration clearly showed that there are people, Jew & gentile, longing for peace as well for the Israelies as for the Palestinian people.

In front of a statue of Willem van Oranje, who was one of the 'geuzen' freeïng cities in Holland when there was war centuries back. He later became king of Holland. Our queen today is one of hs descendants.

A shofar, the horn which is blown on Rosh Ha Shana(Jewish new year) & Rosh Chodesj (New-moon celebration). If blown correctly the sound of it thrills you to the bone!

Ik kan het een en ander niet meer volgen, wat ik wel weet is dat ik schrik van alle haat t.o.v. elkaar. Dat er leefruimte voor beide partijen moet zijn is voor mij ook een vaststaand feit maar hoe dit moet? De weg welke nu is gekozen leidt alleen maar nog meer generaties van haat en een zucht van vergelding. Je hebt het een en ander wel mooi vastgelegd.
