Pkeener, I hope you are not a cat lover, because if you are I have some bad news for you .......there is no "year of the cat ". We are now in the year of the Ox. The festival here is a fox festival. It has a very long history, people in the north part of Tokyo have been having this event at the beginning of the new year for at least four centuries !
