What can I say!! The city looks even BETTER through your lens, G O R G E O U S! I love #7, I don't even know what building that is, but the lights send out some warmth amid all that white COLD winter wonderland... Bwana. A favorite of course. I'll send John the link.

add it to the QUÉBEC group please.

Thanks, ANNELIES. It's impossible to capture Montreal flavor & beauty, and this is just a sample of my eyes have seen. There will be some more tabs, portraiting Notre Dame, the cemetery and lots of snow (of course). Thanks for being such perfect hostess!

IRA: Annelies was really a magnificent company. My stay in Montreal wouldn't be that nice if I hadn't met her.

ANDRE: I tell you about my school if you teach me how to take photos like yours! Done?

ANGELA: Montreal is a very charming city, and the weather was perfect (even when it was snowing - or maybe specially when it was snowing).

JIGS: I like sudden changes, contrasts, bittersweet tastes - so mixing sunny Caribbean and frozen Canada was just perfect to me.

MARIAN: I'm sure Annelies will be very happy to meet you in her beautiful & peaceful city.

DANIEL: Welcome to my tabs. Yes, that photo show a detail of a big red heart, in front of the Fine Arts Museum.

CHARLES: Montreal was not as cold as Quebec (-30 Celsius!), and I'm sure you'd enjoy it a lot.

RHONDA: I guess it's Marilyn Monroe on the billboard, but there's not much difference, uh?
Eduardo.affonso said at 7:00 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:
GAYLE: Wish I could travel much more than I do. There are about 190 countries in the world, and I have visited only 38 (or 39? dunno...). So, there's still a lot os places to visit :)

MIKE, DAVID & PAM: Thank you!

DEBBIE: I would be very frustrated if I couldn't see the snow (ok, it snowed just for one day, but I loved it).

ROBERT: I had been in Montreal, about 20 years ago, during Spring, but I am sure it's much more beautiful in Winter.

DEN: I totally agree - Montreal is really wonderful, amazing and (why not?) a little bit mysterious, too.

JORMA: It was great to jump from sunny Dominican Republic into freezing North America - the only problem was to pack my clothes for this trip (speedo & gloves, shorts & pullovers, flipflops & boots...).

LINDA: I wonder if I wasn't a polar bear in a former life... :)

DOREEN: It's a place you should visit someday. I'm sure you'd love it.

EDITE: Como se diz aqui no Brasil, eu me sentir um pinto no lixo... :)

MONICA: It was my first snow ever - and I really enjoyed it.
AliDar said at 9:34 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:
There is definitely something to be said about seeing a place for the first time. I love every shot and couldn't pick a favourite if you demanded it of me.
Sheila said at 10:03 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:
can't help it.... another favorite =)

Magnifique. Quelle belle saison!!!

Cool "cold" tabblo.
Mworld1956 said at 1:30 a.m. on Jan 17, 2009:
Fantastic shots!!!

what a cold yet so enticing place, montreal seems to be.

i come from the philippines where there is no winter so scenes like these are a real treat for me.

thanks you for bringing me to a place very much different from mine.
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:13 a.m. on Jan 17, 2009:
DAR: No matter how many times I visit a city it's always like "first time" for me. I had been once in Montreal, about 20 years ago - but it was Spring, i was much younger, there wasn't snow, so this is really my first time (at this age) in this Montreal.

SHEILA, APRIL, ALLAN, THIERRY: Thank you! Merci!

JAMES: Annelie's city is really very romantic, specially when covered by snow. It was terribly cold, but for a "tropical guy" (like you and me) real Winter (windy, cold, with lots of snow) has always something to do with fairy tales, uh?

BERTIL: Not just cold: arctic!! ;-)

NINI: Welcome to my tabs! We have no Winter here in Brazil, too, and it was very exciting to wear gloves, scarf and feel snow flocks falling on my face.

Very beautiful tabblo, great shots and a beautiful view too the city.
Liliana said at 10:27 a.m. on Jan 29, 2009:
Nieve, nieve y más nieve. Pero nieve de ciudad, jugando con las cosas, cambiándolas. Excelentes las esculturas de ángeles... todo, en realidad. Creo que Montreal merece otrto Tabblo, ¿no?
¡¡Decile a Rita que Bariloche la espera! O San Martín de los Andes, o Caviahue (chiquito, le encantaría).
