SHEILA: Yes, there are still A LOT! (14 GB, to be exact...).

ANNELIES: I knew I would never outdo Pam's tabs on NY, so I relaxed and simply had fun.

Waahoo--You got the Naked Cowboy. Only in NYC. Excellent shots. Is that St. Patrick's Cathedral. Grand Central--great perspective--love the movement you caught.
Leftofcenter said at 10:21 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:

LINDA: My brother saw the Naked Cowboy and asked me to take some photos of him (I thought it was sort of an urban legend...). Yes, it's St. Patrick's Cathedral (I'll make another tab only with photos of it, it's a fascinating building).

ANNELIES: Is this the Cowboy you mentioned in the title of one of your latest tabs? OMG... I thought you were simply quoting a song or something like that :) C'est si grave.

Eduardo--back in the 60's when I would hang in Manhattan, I was always fascinated by the Viking that was always sitting on one of the corners. Turns out he was actually a musician, "Moondog." You might find this interesting. I've thought about him many times over the years and recently heard him mentioned on a radio station so I did a search on him. And Wow.

Great shot of the Chryler Building==one of the best art decco's ever.

Yes, ANDRE, it's great to "wake up in a city that never sleeps, and find I'm a number one, top of the list"... :)

Thank you, IRA. NY is a very photogenic city, isn't it?
Ira said at 10:46 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:
Huge city. Very beautiful. Likely there there are a lot of objects for photos:) Cool!
Eduardo.affonso said at 10:47 p.m. on Jan 13, 2009:
LINDA: I had never heard of Louis Thomas Hardin (aka Moondog) - what a character! Naked Cowboy has inherited part of his talent for "personal marketing", I guess. Chrysler Building & Flat Iron are my favorite buildings in NY - I visit them everytime I am in town, it's sort of a pilgrimage.

NOREEN: You missed Santo Domingo & the caribbean islands (and be prepared for Toronto, Quebec, Boston, Cape Cod...).

What a wonderful vacation you were on Eduardo. Please do post more New York Photos, I am from San Francisco, New York is very interesting but a little to big for me. Did you go to Toronto? That is where I have a lot of Portuguese Family side Relatives who immigrated from the Asores. Great photos and fun too. Thanks for taking the vacation so we can enjoy it with you.And it was so kind of Annelies to let you stay So Thoughtful! ~~Sincerely, Robbi

These are wonderful photos, Eduardo. I really like the way you arranged them also. Every tabblo has a rhythm as you scroll through, like punching holes in a player piano cylinder, and you really made some music here!

Wow, awesome shots!! Love the buildings, the Apple in the Big Apple and the action in Grand Central Station. You should have left out the back side of the "naked" cowboy though, and kept us wondering! heh heh ;)

¿Estuviste en N. York también...? No sabía. Muy inteligente la oposición de niebla (no sé cómo llamar a las primeras fotos, no son blanco y negro) y estrépito de color después. Muy gráfico todo, muy nítido. Icónico y no tanto en otras fotos, una buena mezcla.
