We are One Inaugural Concert at the Lincoln Memorial

The metro was quite packed.  In Vienna, there were lines going around the corner of people trying to buy passes.  Luckily, we had some already.  When we got off at Farragut West, all of us walked down 17th St. towards the Lincoln Memorial.  There were army personnel everywhere, as well as vendors.  Giant banners hung from buildings welcoming the new president.  We got into line at a security checkpoint outside the memorial, and were with one of the last groups to get in.

It was pretty crowded, but we attempted to go as far up as we could.  Although we got fairly close, it just wasn't worth it when we saw how little we could actually see.  We turned around and headed back.  We found a great viewing point at the far end of the reflection pool.  There was a clear view of the Lincoln Memorial and large monitors.  My zoom wasn't THAT good that I could get some terribly clear photographs from that far back, but I was there mostly to take pictures of the crowd anyway.

As the crowd walked by, everyone began to boo.  It was awesome!

And then, it was time to return home and relax...
