Summer in the City (Boston)

We just love our little "worker's cottage," circa 1814 - small, crooked stairs, unlevel floors, short ceilings and all!

Erika's first graduation from MIT (undergraduate - Earth, Atmosphere and Planetary Science), with brother Alex.

After the ropes course, why not a stop at Nahant for some beach volleyball? And then partake in the summer evening delight of watching kids of all ages splash or get splashed at the Christian Science Monitor fountains.

Of course, Boston and surrounding towns are surrounded with all sorts of water for leisurely summertime strolls.

Since we live right in Boston we haven't done the Freedom Trail, well, ever, but you can't help but run into History, even just walking to the corner coffee shop.

You are also just as likely to run into a war protest - with speakers who just may happen to be direct descendents of John and Sam Adams, like this one (6th generation)

While one should regularly attempt to contemplate the unimaginable, one can't do it 24 hours a day, and well, it's also hard to do with balloons tied to your head. And hair.

Thank you, all who have made it to the end of this rather lengthy tabblo!

It's lengthy, but an interesting mix of the personal and historical. The west coast feels new by comparison. Good work!

Hi Kurt!

The only picture that came through for me was the one of Erika and Alex. Not sure why I didn't get the others. Hope all's well with you and Yoon - thanks for keeping in touch!

A very nice slice of Boston all the way down to the Cape Cod Canal. Well done.
