You are just teasing us with your collection of photos from Crete. Keeping the best to last. Those weathered doors are my love with Greece and 9 times out of ten they are painted blue. A great cross section of scenery and close up work, but "Outside a cafeneion in Armeni" is superb and you probably smiled quietly to yourself after capturing this delightful scene. Mike.

Sitting with elders in the shade of a small Greek village sipping Ouzo or arresting your journey in a tiny mountain town on the island of Corsica sharing a bottle of Pastis. Which ever location you choose, you will win the heart and soul these people, without speaking one word of their language. Just giving them your time, to stop and smile is an enriching experience for any traveler. Mike.

Thanks Grandbrotherm I enjoy photographing goats they are each so individual.

Thanks Mike.Yamas!

Thank you Bob.

Linda, thank you, it was such fun as I wasn't aware of the sheep at first as there were sheep on the road in front of us, but they just stood waiting for the picture to be taken!!

Thanks Abking, there are two different Cretes, the first is the Northern coastline particularly popular with tourists but also where the main towns lie and then there is the rest of the island!

Noreen, thank you.

Ahh Celia....would that I could spend winter in Greece (SMILE) no snow! My favorite shots are the 'plateau' and the elderly folks at the cafe. Perfect flower macros too. This tab REALLY WARMED ME UP (SMILE) luv Patty xo
Chilla said at 2:48 a.m. on Jan 27, 2009:
Thank you Photopop, that is exactly as it is in the mountain villages.

Thank you so much Patty, in Crete it is possible to have warm sunny days in the winter but to be able to look up to snow-capped mountains, the best of both worlds!
Smsiegfried1 said at 5:49 p.m. on Feb 4, 2009:
Yes, Chilla, I guess this is one of the most artistic designs I have ever seen here - it makes me feel that you really were in close connection to the pulse of the country, you've done it so well, thanks......
