Ciao, carissima.

Wildthing said at 8:29 a.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Gorgeous winter images. The lovely dog, the birds, the snow-covered trail through the trees, they are all tremendous. Thanks.
Mash said at 8:42 a.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Cool Winter sights! Magnificent photos! Thanks!
Tishfish said at 9:00 a.m. on Jan 28, 2009: As much as I hate snow, this is gorgeous ! ! ! I pity the poor little birds, not much to eat while the snow is covering everything.
YorkJodi said at 9:12 a.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Absolutely gorgeous photos!!! What is the little bird with the yellow breast?? He looks like our Chickadee but ours don't have yellow breasts. Darling dog... just great photos...

Pkeener said at 11:19 a.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Kris, you impart such an ethereal quality to all of your photos. Your use of light and white balance are enchanting, and enviable. Thank you. Your pup is sweet and the birds are just precious.
Candlepower said at 12:06 p.m. on Jan 28, 2009: So very beautiful but I'm guessing your getting a bit tired of it by now. Love the path through the woods!
Ira said at 12:18 p.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Charming snow winter! Very beautiful photos!
Krisu said at 2:31 p.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Fabio, thanks for your nice words, i know you've already seen some of these photos in my blog ;) Mirella, yes, Timi is our dog. and he's always moving, very hard to take decent photos of him. Molto grazie! Thanks, Eduardo! Mike, your visits in my tabblos are always ajoy to me, so thanks to you! Thank you, Mash :) Doreen, we feed the little birds just like you do :) Thank you. Jodi, Thank you and no, it's not a Chickadee, it's a Great Tit (Parus major), very common in Finland and in whole Europe and Asia too. In Finnish it's talitianen or talitintti. The other bird is ,as far as I know, a Redpoll /urpiainen (Carduelis flammea). Annelies, Thanks! Pam, What can I say? Thank you so much! :) Pat, Thank you! Not at all tired, I love winter! :D And a winter without a snow???really, what's the point NOT having snow and winter here in the "North Pole", because without snow the winter is ugly and nasty and grey and almost without light! Having pure rain for three to four months period instead of snow? I prefer snow, absolutely! The spring doesn't come to our levels any earlier than in April or May. We have had in some years snow also in May! I mean January, February and March are winter months to me. Children skate and cross-country ski also at schools in gymnastics lessons. Ira, thank you :)

Fabio_DL said at 9:20 p.m. on Jan 28, 2009: Colored pictures of the snow, taken in an overcast day, have the magic of the black and white photography. They have something more, too. You highlighted that extra with the brown walls of the building, the colorful feathers of the birds, the white window and the yellow side, the blue boat, the colorful signs, the orange ladder, and the brown Timi. What a beautiful dog! His picture synthesizes all the joy and magic of the winter. Great tabblo, Kristina!

Truly...these bushes are loaded with beauty as much as any Spring or Summer blossoms...This is a FAVE and I marvel at your birds and TIMI the GREAT~ :^D

Moorlerche said at 6:52 a.m. on Feb 28, 2009: Vilka underbara bilder av gråsiskor. Och jag älsker bild nummer tre, der man ser hur snön faller. Jag saknar bara skandinaviska myggor dansanda i solskenen framför fönstret vid -20°C :-)
Ballantyne said at 9:49 p.m. on Mar 28, 2009: Nicely done! I enjoy snow; and living at sea level on Canada's south west coast, we enjoy only a few snowfalls each year. Since much of my recreation involves snow, frequently I head in to the nearby mountains where snow and glaciers are still plentiful. Many of my neighbours see snow as an annoying event. You show that is it beautiful in all of its moods. Thanks.
