Very beautiful photos! Magic trees in snow... Contrasts of white snow and black figures of branches... Such sensation, that the world gauging and time has stopped.

The snowfall in England was an item on our world news this morning. These are beautiful shots, Celia. Beautiful it may be but very disruptive, no doubt. I love the photo of the spaniel, wondering what it is all about! Great shots!

I wish the snow could be not so....cold!!!!!It is sooooooooooo beautiful !The first photo looks like a painting; I like the seagulls flyings and the others that seem to wait an order to fly away. Fantastic Tabblo.

Thank you Noreen,I am afraid we don't seem to manage a snowstorm very well here in the UK! The spaniel was loving the snow and was chasing snowballs!
Pat, thank you,I was very taken with the trees and the way the snow was clinging to the vertical trunks.
Thank you Mirella,I always like photographing seagulls. Like you I do not like the cold, but it has been very beautiful today.

Excellent tabblo, Celia! Everything turns to gray and white - the snow transforms the landscape almost entirely. The birds' flight over the water is very poetic! Another Favorite! Thanks much!

Thank you Connie.Sean, thanks I went out whilst it was snowing to try to capture it fresh and crisp, but of course it was very gray. Thanks Bob! Many thanks Fabio, I love taking photos of seagulls in flight, there is something rather majestic in the way they move I think..Thank you Dyowi glad you liked the birds in flight. Thank you so much Teo, I couldn't resist going out to try and capture this unusual event and so much has gone overnight!

Hi Chilla, Your shots of the bare trees are particularly beautiful with the snow enhancing their shape, giving them a new life form again almost bringing them out of their slumber. It shows how much drifting was occurring. "-5C in the British Isles is as cold as -20C in Russia" I hear one immigrant saying. Our cold is damp and penetrating and not anything like the Alpine dryness of winter. #5 is my favourite, for the sheer beauty of the structure and because it is a perfect copy of the Sycamore that took centre stage at our last house. The snow has dressed it in a fine garb and your composition and POV with leading fence has shown it at it's best. Despite all this temporary beauty, I hope it goes away real soon for you Chilla. Mike.

Bobbie, thank you, in fact these pictures were not taken in b&w but during the snow storm it is the way they appeared and they have not been photo-shopped.

Thanks Loes. We are lucky all the snow has gone now and we do not have problems here but in some areas it has been very bad.

From nature comes beauty. And from your camera via your eye. I felt the hush in each shot. Great whites, here, Celia. The foot path sign and the pup's red collar, are the only thing reminding us that these shots are in color!
