Prelude to an Island

To be continued...

(Of course. :)

Prelude to an Island

My friends and I traveled for almost five hours to the north of Luzon. Our destination: Isla Vista, which is about a kilometer from the now-famous beautiful little island called Potipot. If you look at the second and third picture, you'll see the small island and the boat which took us there. It takes only about seven minutes to reach Potipot.

We were around sixteen, and fortunately, our small cabin was large enough for us and the drivers of the vans we rented.

We were really tired because of the journey, but six of us, due to my insistence, went around Isla Vista to look for things to photograph and visit the small island, just in time for the sunset.

This is my first "vacation" in 2009, and it was such an unexpected surprise to see the small island with its beautiful scenery. A few of the pictures in this tabblo were taken from that island while the last shot is more of a teaser to the next tabblo I'm constructing. Maybe I'll publish it in a day or two. :)

It's hard to decide which is the best part of the Philippines. Each island seems to be a hidden treasure.

Edu, there are 7,100+ islands in the Philippines. That's why. :)

Thank you, Bobbie and Ira.

Jigs, Potipot can be reached through Candelaria, Zambales, which is abut 2 hour ride from Iba. :) That dog is not really mine, but it is owned by the owner of Isla Vista Resort. I just found it cute so I took pictures. :)

Un immense voyage.
Une île entre le ciel et l'eau,
une île sans hommes ni bateaux,
un culte un peu comme une insulte, sauvage,
un espoir de voyage....
Merci James.
