~~ LES PARAPLUIES DU VIDOURLE ~~

 

 

Depuis 3 jours, il pleut au pied des Cévennes.

Le vent marin vient buter sur les Monts cévenols.

Une pluie dense  gonfle les rivières au cours habituellement paisible.

Le Vidourle  prépare une vidourlade  plutôt rare en Février :

les crues se déchaînent plus volontiers à l'automne.

Du côté de Saint Hippolyte du Fort, Quissac,

Sommières et plus en aval jusqu'à la mer,

on surveille la montée des eaux avec inquiétude.

La nature peut déchainer ses tempêtes à tout moment.

On positive avec le dicton du jour :

Février pluvieux, février heureux...

Qui l'eut cru qu'à peine quelques jours avant, un grand soleil brillait dans notre belle région!!
J'ai aimé entendre tomber cette pluie la nuit dernière bien au chaud sous ma couette mais je ne peux m'empêcher d'avoir une pensée pour ceux dont les caprices de la nature se moquent!
Merci mon Thierry pour toutes ces images et heureuse de te retrouver au sec!! Quel plaisir d'avoir son capitaine à bord et de se sentir à l'abri!! Gros gros bisous!! Ta...

trop bien tous ces parapluies, pour les photos surtout. le fleuve a l'air ENRAGÉ, ça déborde de tous les côtés déjà!! j'espère que ça va se calmer. en tout cas, t'as bien capté le temps maussade, trempé jusqu'aux os, l'inquiétude sur les visages, brr- vivement le retour du soleil! (où est Catherine??)

Oh la la Thierry, quelle différence, comme une belle rivière calme peut se transformer en un dangereux tourbillon de l'eau!! Je pense que Leftie faisait allusion aux parapluies de Cherbourg avec Catherine Deneuve en vedette.

Nous sommes impuissants face aux caprices de la nature et devons être conscients que nous ne pouvons pas la dompter.

Seeing the first pictures I thought, "How can someone make rainweather look so beautifully!". Until I got to the photos of the river unleashed: wild, breathtaking and devastating. Surely no joy for the people living at the waterfront. But "wow", what sight for us who my see it through your camera's eye.

Oui Ania, je reste fidèle à mon bon vieux Lumix FZ5O, il ne craint ni le soleil, ni le vent ni la pluie.

It's truly wonderful how, despite the worry on the faces of the people, you still maintain the colour and sense of 'the big picture in life' in these photos. A flood like that can be potentially devastating, yet, life still moves on and one flood does not quench all that is good. Stay safe!

Great work with this! I like #1, #8 and the TV camera the best as individual shots, but they all work so well together. It's hard to work with dull grays and browns but you (as usual) captured the interesting piece of color in each shot. The facial expressions tell the story. Nice work! Hope the sun is drying things up now!
