East, Middle East, cities, desert, SouthAmerica, India, Africa..........wonderful pics! I like very much the goats crossing a torrent (Himalaya ?) , terrible the photo of the boys playing wth guns (Middle East ?). The last comment is so true! Our guys slept in much the same position in the train compartment on a school trip down to Italy. Great atmospheric captures of people at work. The Guru on the "balcony" is lovely.

A poignant set. Great pics of people making the best of their lot. The photo of kids with guns does not bode well. People need hope, and like animals backed into a corner, if they have nothing to lose they are at their most dangerous. The world is such a small place now, and those without see those with, and can only be discomposed by it.

So very many wonderful and disturbing pictures. Hard to choose a favorite, I do like the man in the red shorts in an ocean of green. Excellent tabblo, a fav.

thanks for your comments... FYI, the BOYS with guns are actually taken in Diyabakir - east turkey. They are a Kurdish community which until recent years lived under constant police and military surveillance because the Turkish govt. is fighting Kurdish rebellion. Kurds are the nation without a country - they are also in iraq and iran. I was equally disturbed by the situation... the children grow up with war around them.
